This 32-bit Windows applications (using NT or Windows 95) offers "intelligent measurement" with these features: visual DMIS program listing, geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing imported with CAD files, virtual CMM and probe representation, intellectual feature determination algorithms, point-and-click measurement, and probe collision protection.
The 3D CAD link enables CAD data to be imported using IGES, STEP, DSF, or VDA protocols; provides 3D solid model component representation; bi-directional data transfer between CMM and CAD; and DMIS in, DMIS out, native DMIS 3.0.
