TIR Roll Gage
The device's non-contact gaging extends both motor life and indicated sensors and is fully automated to measure various types of materials that are non-parallel, up to 2 ft long and 4 in. in diameter; custom sizes are available. The unit uses the company's Genesis data collector or a PC running the firm's Anstat for Windows software to control movement and collect data by easily integrating into most existing systems.
Other features and specifications are:
- control and data collection rotates 360°
- calculates composite TIR, maximum, and minimum TIR
- two high-resolution indicators (0.0001) measure TIR of a rotating roll
- on/off switch controls the drive wheel
Gage operation is fully automatic and is done by placing the roll or shaft to be measured in the gage and pressing the start button. The motor drive wheel then engages against the roll and extends the pneumatic air followers. After one complete revolution of the roll, the motor and indicators automatically retract and the data is collected and displayed on the data collector or PC monitor. Mastering is not required.
