Surface Inspection System

Designed for use in offline production, QC, and R&D environments, the AutoScan inspection system allows operators to fully automate measuring sequences through an easy-to-use visual teach mode. It delivers sub-micron resolution in all axes.

Employing powerful analytical software (UBSoft), the AutoScan features detailed surface form and finish analysis supported by high-resolution graphics.

The system uses "Dynamic Focusing," a measuring principle in which a laser beam of 1 µm is used to scan the surface. This technique allows macro- and micro-structures of soft and touch-sensitive surfaces to be quantified without damaging the sample. The AutoScan is suitable for point-and-click setup of automated measuring routines.

Features of the system include a precision measurement stand with a granite bridge, a translation stage X-Y 100 mm, an optical sensor with integrated window, and a system controller.
