Statistica SPC Software Uses the Web to Take Data Sharing Further

Companies can now take advantage of more efficient knowledge-sharing and decision support tools than previously available, thanks to the recent upgrade of Statistica enterprise-wide SPC software from StatSoft, Inc. The new WebSEWSS provides thin-client access to reports, charts, and graphs data using the Web. It lets you post up-to-date reports, charts, and tables on the Internet automatically, practically in real-time, and can be done without knowledge of HTML or Java programming languages.

Colleagues and customers at remote locations can request specific information and view results almost immediately. In fact, they can access the SPC data via the Internet, even without SEWSS.

Before this upgrade, users could automatically post company charts and reports on the Web without knowledge of programming languages. Building on that, report templates in WebSEWSS enable users to customize the layout, formatting, and information included in reports. All data can be posted and updated at specified intervals — giving users access to the most recent and accurate information.

WebSEWSS users log onto a specified Internet site, submit user name and password, and select information from a Windows-like user-interface, in near real-time. Any PC that can run a Web browser (including Macintosh and Sun workstations) can work with the reports, graphs, and charts available using WebSEWSS.

Statistica Enterprise-wide SPC software is an integrated multi-user package that provides a central database and all tools necessary to process and manage data from multiple channels and coordinate the work of multiple operators, QC engineers and supervisors.
