The L. S. Starrett Company SPC Shopfloor Software program has been upgraded to make it easier to perform data acquisition and analysis. Designed for the rugged shopfloor environment, this real-time data collection and control charting software is suitable for both quality control and diverse manufacturing applications. With an easy-to-use interface and can be used either in stand-alone or networked environments and permits data entry directly from gages or through the PC.
The software enables users to collect and analyze measuring data and can be easily customized. Upgrades include:
- the ability to change terms to more familiar ones (such as changing "user" to "operator" or "process" to "part"
- the ability to perform attribute analysis
- enhanced password protection
- up to 255 characteristics can be incorporated in a single work set and multiple characteristics can be copied from one process to another to save setup time
- editing of data as well as the automatic creation of audit trails of data edits
- footswitch sequencing for the firm's No. 761 and 741 multiplexers
- a toolbar for most common functions
- a "tree view" to help manage database and offline analysis
- a report writer to edit, save, and open reports
- new charts such as scatter, pareto, attributes, box-whisker, bar, and pie formats
Completely compliant with Open Database Connectivity, the software is a single database that can be accessed by multiple workstations for simultaneous data entry. It runs under any version of Windows and is available in both 16- and 32-bit versions.
