The SmartCable line of single input gage interfaces converts the output of any manufacturer's gage into standard RS-232 or Mitutoyo output format for use in any SPC data collection System.

Simple setup through externally accessible DIP switches (or host commands) allow easy, instant data collection. Connect your caliper, micrometer, indicator, or any other gage directly to your PC or Mitutoyo compatible device and you're ready to start. Gage readings can be triggered using the gage's send button, an external foot switch (connected via external foot switch jack), or host request.

The SmartCable can add functionally to existing gages by allowing data collection in either static mode (instantaneous reading), or dynamic mode (MIN, MAX, TIR readings). Requiring no external power supply, the SmartCable draws power from the PC serial port and most Mitutoyo compatible systems making it ideal for portable data collection.

This simple, easy-to-use interface allows for quick, direct connection to your PC and software via standard RS-232 ASCII output, or to your Mitutoyo DP1, DP3, DP7, Mux 10, or any other Mitutoyo compatible device.
The SmartCable gage interfaces are designed with the harsh shop floor environment in mind. Using Advanced micro-controller technology to reduce components and increase reliability, we can offer low cost, easy-to-use gage interfaces.
