Sitius Automation to Develop 3D Metrology Software for Unigraphics Application

Sitius Automation Inc. (Markham, Ontario, Canada) has signed an agreement with Unigraphics Solutions Canada Ltd. to develop 3D metrology software solutions that will be integrated with the Unigraphics CAD/CAM/CAE application. Under the agreement, Sitius becomes a Unigraphics Solutions Alliance Partner.

Sitius Automation, which develops software solutions for the M/CAD market, specializes in 3D metrology tools for data analysis and programming of dimensional metrology equipment. The software tools permit rapid inspection of physical parts throughout the manufacturing process and are directly integrated with commercial M/CAD systems. This approach eliminates the need to CAD data translation and is said to improve accuracy and save time.

Unigraphics Solutions Inc. provides CAD/CAM/CAE and PDM solutions and services designed to improve the entire product development process for mechanical design and manufacturing companies.
