For over 58 years, Rahn has been the first name in precision granite for one overriding reason: ACCURACY. Since 1943, we have led the industry in making surface plates, OEM machine bases and granite inspection tooling with superior overall flatness and measurement repeatability. Rahn has received four innovative patents and two registered trademarks for products and processes used exclusively within the precision granite industry - more than any other company in the industry today.

Our granite surface plates also exceed the Federal Specification, which allows a beyond-tolerance border area, which could correspond with an undercut clamping lip. An object clamped to such a lip would be tilted. Rahn Precision guarantees accuracy to the very edge of every plate we sell. We also exceed Federal Specification for weight loading by twice the specification.

Rahn Precision also offers On-Site calibration of granite plates. Our technicians have more than 40 years of experience in the field. Rahn Precision also has ISO 17025 accreditation, registered with the A2LA, for our calibration services.
