Radial Measurement and Surface Profiling System

Precision Devices, Inc.der, a shop tool designed for production and quality control, is a rugged unit that can withstand the shopfloor. It's designed to measure for out-of-roundness conditions as well as measuring and charting axis alignments, squareness, and concentricity.

Other functions the system can perform include:

showing the amount and character of waviness or roughness obtained when setting up for machining, grinding, or finishing operations

setting up and checking the work against specific, detailed standards of height and spacing of waviness and roughness irregularities (and of pits, peaks, and scratches)

showing the effects of measures taken to obtain desired surface quality in production operations as well as the effects of subsequent finishing processes on waviness, other wide irregularities, and on roughness

measuring circular part sections

measuring and recording the microprofiles of part surfaces and their average roughness
