With its small footprint, the Genesis 1000 data collector is designed to simplify shopfloor SPC data collection and analysis. Data entry can be done by keyboard or direct gage input. Menu-driven selection and step-by-step operation are provided through the user interface.

The device offers Automatic Gage Recognition, which enables plug-and-play gage operation. Other features include immediate feedback on out-of-spec and out-of-control processes, chart and graph displays that indicate process status and trends, and multigage interfaces, which allows the device to accommodate input from up to 32 gages.

Reports can be generated and printed out or uploaded to a PC with the firm's Anstat for Windows analysis software, and a networking capability allows multiple collectors to be linked for an integrated plant-wide SPC/SQC analysis system.

Seven models are available. The QA3300 connects digital and analog gages and performs attribute data analysis for defect tracking and cost analysis. The QA3000 combines defect tracking of attribute data with variable collection and analysis. The QA2800 contains automatic gage recognition of both digital and analog gages integrated in the same package. The QA2500/Maxum, which connects Dimentron plug gages or Mahr Federal counter-sink gages directly to the unit, can be used in aerospace applications. The QA2500SR is designed for short run analysis. The QA2500 collects variable data directly from gages and can view immediate real-time analysis. The QA1500 collects and analyzes attribute data using direct keyboard entry or by scanning barcode labels.
