The M62 gear module is a flexible modular system designed for Over Ball Dimension (OBD) gauging on gear wheels and gear shafts. The module is suitable for both odd and even teeth and enables manual and simultaneous engaging of diametrically positioned ball contacts.

Because of the design of the module's turret contact's support, the device is suitable for a variety of different teeth modules and part dimensions. The gear modules are mounted on a standard base, allowing the measurement of a variety of shaft lengths, and several assemblies assemblies can be configured on the same base to carry out the OBD check in a sequential mode. In addition, applying a single gear module with its standard pencil probe enables runout measurement.

The gear module can be connection to a variety of instruments including Quick Read, mechanical or digital dial indicators, column E4N, and PC-based E9066, permitting a broad visualization program.

Module specifications include:

  • Shaft length: 150 to 500 mm
  • Shaft diameter: 25 to 125 mm
  • Wheel diameter: 25 to 200 mm
  • Manual rotation of the part
  • Up to six gear modules on the base with idle centers
