The Wizprobe is an advanced non-contact optical laser scanning sensor the delivers fast, accurate, and reliable geometric measurements. It can be integrated into a CMM system or a portable CMM, and also is available as a stand-alone device with customized software packages for inline process control.

The device's measurement accuracy is guaranteed over a very wide range of material types, colors, surface finishes, and laser beam angles.

Specifications include:

  • single point accuracy of 6 microns at 1 sigma
  • best fit accuracy (100 points) of 1 micron at 1 sigma
  • feature repeatability of 2 microns at 1 sigma
  • scanning rate of 50 Hz (50 points per second)
  • stand off of 50 mm
  • scanning dynamic range of ±5 mm (10 mm)

    In addition, the probe uses advanced calibration algorithm and real-time adaptive control that provides automatic calibration for different materials, colors, angles, and surface finish types within the same scanning process.
