New Accelerometer For Low G Triaxial Measurement

Meggitt Sensing Systems, a division of Meggitt PLC, has launched the Endevco model 773 triaxial accelerometer for measuring low-level accelerations in high speed rail, automotive ride quality and motorsports applications. Using the latest variable capacitance technology, these sensors provide stable and reliable readings at an affordable price.

The rugged design is particularly well suited to low g measurements before or after being subjected to a violent shock and features 10,000 g shock survivability. The Endevco 773 has a frequency response from DC up to 2,000 Hz and an input voltage range from 7 to 36 V (or optional 5 V). It is compatible with industry standard instrumentation and has the flexibility to screw or adhesive mount, making it suitable for installation in a wide range of space-constrained applications.

Other key features include:

  • 2, 10, 30, 50, 100 and 200 g ranges
  • Excellent non-linearity
  • Small (0.9 inch cube) and lightweight (24 grams)
  • Each axis has separate power and ground
  • Rugged Al housing and 28 AWG cable
  • Broad operating temperature range (-40 to +100 ͦC)

The Endevco 773 triaxial accelerometer is CE /RoHS compliant and shipped with an integral cable and a calibration certificate. For more information, visit www.endevco.com. For full details on all Meggitt Sensing Systems products visit www.meggitt.com/mss.
