The G90C family of LK Metrology Systems, Inc.ge CNC vertical-spindle coordinate measuring machines consists of models with measuring envelopes from 0.6 x 0.5 x 0.4 m to 4 x 1.5 x 1.5 m. Designed for use on the shopfloor, all models provide high precision inspection. Said to be fast and accurate, the series exhibits vector velocities of 48 m/min and are repeatable to within 2 microns.

The units can be calibrated either to ANSI B89 or European CMMA or VDI standards. Axis drives are microprocessor-controlled and incorporate full touch probe and scanning functions.

The CMMs are made from low mass/high stiffness materials to be cost effective, but include advanced design features such as a lightweight spindle with integral pneumatic counterbalance and a cast ceramic Y-beam that employs a steel belt drive system. Pneumatic bearings and ceramic guides add precision and stability.
