Metrologic announces promotion of key executives
Yorsz, who joined AOA as an engineer in 1984, will now serve as AOA's president and general manager, following the completion of Metrologic's acquisition of AOA on January 8, 2001. "AOA has always been recognized for its expertise in the area of electro-optics. Now as a Metrologic company, we also have access to world class manufacturing capabilities and marketing resources," Yorsz said. "The challenge for me as president of AOA, along with Barbara Herrmann as the newly-appointed vice president of operations with AOA, and Thomas Gonsiorowski, AOA's new vice president of technology, will be to leverage the synergies with Metrologic and realize AOA's full growth potential. I am confident in AOA and its management team and excited about the future." Yorsz has BS, MS and EE degrees in electrical engineering, in addition to a BS degree in management, from MIT.
DiNoia has previously held the positions of regional sales manager and strategic account manager at Metrologic. He will now report directly to Kevin Woznicki, Metrologic's vice president of sales, the Americas. Woznicki stated, "Greg has been an excellent representative of Metrologic and its products and is very deserving of this promotion. His outstanding performance across several of our business segments provides Metrologic the confidence that Greg is ready for this increase in responsibility." A graduate of the College of William and Mary with a BS degree, DiNoia has over 15 years of experience in sales and sales management in electromechanical instrumentation, advertising, and injection molded plastics.
