Linear height gage boosts productivity with back-lit GO/NG display, highest accuracy in its class

Aurora, IL -- Mitutoyo America Corporation has released a new, high productivity linear height gage that increases measuring efficiency by incorporating a red/green back-lit display that indicates immediately whether a measurement is in or out of tolerance.

The QM-Height is the latest in a line of world-class linear height gages from Mitutoyo. This gage uses Mitutoyo's patented Absolute-type linear encoder, eliminating the re-set of origin on start up. Increased accuracy of +/-(2.8+5L/1000)µm results from a more rigid column and a smoother floating slider motion.

Both the 14-inch and the 24-inch models feature selectable resolutions of .00005", .00001" and .00002" depending on the work-piece. Perpendicularity of 8ìm on the 14-inch model and 13µm on the 24-inch model provide excellent repeatability characteristics.

The QM-Height offers an increase of measurement capabilities, including step/diameter/center-to-center pitch, MAX/MIN and TIR. The re-designed display and keyboard is capable of holding up to nine different measurements.
