Length Measuring Machines

The 300M, 550M, and 750M length measuring machines, stepped in size, are designed to measure gages, artifacts, or other masters with the smallest possible measuring uncertainty to provide a reliable reference for measuring manufactured parts.

The measurement uncertainty of these LMMs are 0.18 + 0.4L µm (0.000008 + 0.4L-in.) L = in./m and in./in., respectively. This small level of uncertainty is said to make these machines the most accurate available today. Measuring system resolution is 0.01 µm (0.000001-in.) and repeatability is 0.1 µm (0.00001-in.).

The three external measuring ranges — 12-in. for the 300M, 21.2-in. for the 550M, and 29.5- in. for the 750M — give users a range that covers most applications. Their flexibility is also enhanced by integrating optional components, such as hooked feelers for internal measurements, supports and clamps for ring gages, center support for parts with ground centers, universal table, attachments for measuring threaded gages and rings, and ball tipped probes for planed surfaces.
