Laser Scanning Micrometer

The Accuscan 3 laser scanning micrometer provides diameter measurement of small- to medium-size products along either single or dual planes. It gives you instant diameter and position readings. Measurement data can be sent via the RS-232 port to PCs, PLCs, one of the company's BetaScan process control systems, or controllers.

In the LD series, the processing electronics are integrated into the gage using an LED display, status indicators, and control keys. The display shows diameter and cable position, tolerance settings, and configuration variables. In the LDX series, the processing electronics, display, indicators, and keys are in a separate indicator module that displays data up to 100 m away. The indicator unit can be mounted to a 19-in. rack; tabletop cases are also available.

The gage head in either series provides low drift measurements and a NEMA 4/IP65 housing. Both single- and dual-axis gages are available. Options include an air purge for clean optics, helix option to measure twisted products, glass measurement option for translucent and transparent objects, envelope measurement option that measures non-uniform items, and a second analog output for data on both X and Y diameters.
