The patented opto-mechanical design provides precise measurements, and the unit's rugged housing can withstand industrial environments.

Key features include: automatic calibration that adjusts for thermal expansion in non-standard gaging environments and manual and intelligent fixtures that simplify sample inspection and help detect diameter variations around the device's circumference. When used with a motorized fixture, the micrometer's state-of-the-art touchscreen interface displays three optional screens that allow the operator to graphically view diameter measurements, variations, and deviations for quick evaluation of the diameter variation of the product.
