Impact Testing
Easy to use:
Powerful hoist motor for adjusting the drop weight. "Automatic mode" minimizes user intervention and increases the number of tests run (up to 100 per hour).
Safe Operation:
Protective doors with safety interlocks contain shattered specimens.
Instron's Dynatup Specimen Feeder System is the choice for an instrumented impact test system that requires minimal operator intervention.
The SFS design has integrated the features of the Model 8250 System, an environmental chamber, a specimen feeding mechanism and the 930-I Windows Data Acquisition System.
The unique design of the feeding mechanism allows the user to test seventy 1/8 inch thick flat plaques per cartridge at temperatures between - 60oF to + 3500F (-50oC to + 170oC).
The operator simply loads a cartridge of the flat plaques and places it in the specimen feeder mechanism. The SFS tests the complete batch with no user intervention.
The SFS is designed to feed and test multiple flat samples with minimal operator intervention. The Environmental Chamber will store at least three cartridges of seventy 1/8 inch thick samples per cartridge. This eliminates soak time between tests and allows the operator to perform more tests in a shorter time period.
In the environmental chamber, the feed mechanism moves conditioned samples from the 70-specimen cartridge into the pneumatic clamp. Samples are tested without operator intervention.
