GasBadge Pro Capabilities Enhanced With New Sensor Offering
Pittsburgh - Industrial Scientific Corporation enhanced its full-featured, "dockable" GasBadge Pro single gas monitor with the introduction of a Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN) sensor option. This option provides an ideal personal monitor used by safety professionals, plant managers and first responders in precious mining and recovery, gold plating, food and beverage and hazardous materials (HazMat) industries. Providing a lifetime of gas hazard protection with more features than any single gas monitor available, GasBadge Pro can be quickly adapted with interchangeable "smart" sensors to monitor unsafe levels of oxygen or any one of the following toxic gases: ammonia, carbon monoxide, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, phosphine and sulfur dioxide.
Each GasBadge Pro monitor carries a lifetime warranty and comes standard with STEL and TWA readings, datalogging of up to one year of survey data, and an event-logger that records the past 15 alarm events. The monitor is compatible with the award winning DS2 Docking Station and iNet Monitoring Service to further simplify and automate calibration, function (bump) testing and data management.
Housed in a rugged enclosure, the monitor is immune to RF, water resistant and extremely durable. A protective concussion-proof overmold protects the unit from extreme abuse in a variety of harsh industrial environments. The GasBadge Pro will alert the user with a powerful audible alarm complemented by vibrating and visual alarms when gas concentrations exceed the preset limits. At 3 ounces (85 grams), the instrument's compact size and light weight allow it to be worn comfortably with a variety of clip attachments.
The large, LCD display includes a backlight for clear visibility in low-light conditions, and international graphic symbols for easy operation. The GasBadge Pro can be configured to display gas readings in percent by volume or in parts per million, and is capable of showing both gas type and direct gas readings, or just the gas type. The instrument's four-button interface provides intuitive navigation and setup, which can be password-protected for added security
