Gantry-Style Measurement System

The Granite Bench Top non-contact measurement system provides repeatable dimensional measurements for tooling verification, incoming inspection, first article inspection, and sampling applications. The system measures low-volume precision machined, stamped, molded, extruded, and printed parts in automotive, aerospace, electronic, and medical applications. Its gantry-style design minimizes stage footprint and does not need part fixturing, and the granite base is said to ensure accurate measurements.

The unit works with the firm's Quadra-Chek 2000 software, which has a built-in skew function and full geometric capability that allows users to establish datums, measure and store features, and output results. Other features include a 12 x 12 in. measuring envelope, 150 W fiber-optic illuminator and ringlight, RS232 serial port for data gathering and SPC, non-linear error correction, and NIST traceability. In addition, point targeting can be done using the system's high-resolution color video, 7:1 zoom optics, and electronically generated crosshairs.
