Feedback Transducer with Positioning Ability
The device tracks the cylinder's own magnetic "spud" for accurate and stable position sensing to <0.2µm resolution. It uses enhanced magnetostrictive technology, which provides high shock and noise immunity and helps lower manufacturing cost. The transducer features linearity of ±0.02% and hysteresis of 0.0001-in. with sub-millisecond analog update times that are three times faster than lower-grade magnetostrictive devices. Analog and digital versions are available.
The transducer's patented auto-tuning electronics enable it to work on a variety of manufacturers' cylinders. Auto-tuning also compensates for any performance changes caused by temperature fluctuations to provide consistent, stable accuracy over a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +185°F.
The transducer is CE-approved, shock-resistant, and sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6) requirements, resisting contamination from dust, chips, dirt, and oil. It also offers a non-contact, wear-free design and absolute position sensing, which can eliminate the need to re-home after a power outage. It operates on 24VDC, protected against reverse polarity.
