DMIS-based CMM Inspection Software
Program creation is done using an icon-based teach/learn interface with CAD-based programming. Input data links to the programming system are provided through industry-standard protocols such as STEP, IGES, and VDA. Output is ANSI DMIS code that can be executed on any DMIS-compliant CMM.
Camio can be programmed from CAD models, which can be manipulated within the tool using orbit, render, pan, and zoom viewing options. A probe and fixture model can be loaded to orient and render the view for simulating the inspection process in a virtual environment. The CAD-based programming also lets you point at the model with a mouse and create DMIS commands that can build stand-alone DMIS part programs.
