Dimension Over Pins Gages
The systems are well suited for use in the inspection lab or in the manufacturing cell and are available in several semi-automatic and manual models. According to the manufacturer, the systems provide reliable dimension over pins or balls measurements to verify actual tooth thickness (or space width) at the pitch diameter. They offer a constant-pressure gaging system to ensure accuracy over the full range of the gage, and each system is equipped with a digital readout with data output port that can be linked to an SPC processor.
Standard semi-automatic models also feature a granite base with steel top plates; interchangeable, precision carbide ball and pin tooling; one button activation of dual-moving gaging arms; self-centering gaging system; and the ability to measure parts with odd or even number of teeth.
Additional manual model features include steel top plates; interchangeable, precision carbide ball and pin tooling; and the ability to measure parts with odd or even number of teeth.
Users do not need to set masters to setup external semi-automatic systems to measure components. Internal semi-automatic systems require just one certified, smooth ring for initial setup. Systems with a vertical lift table eliminate the need for platens to stage parts and allow the operator to check tapered or crowned components.
