N/AinSeeker Defect Management System Version 5.0 helps customers collect and analyze attribute quality data, so they can track defects either by count or cost. Designed for suppliers trying to achieve Six Sigma, the system allows users to connect real costs to defects while the reporting tools enable them to drill down and identify root causes and focus on solving costly problems.

Features include a report writer that produces, displays, and prints charts, data tables, and statistics in one report; large database fields for added flexibility; a variety of data entry choices including keyboard, mouse, and barcode scanner; and OLE compliance for customized applications.

The tool is built on a multilevel Pareto analysis, in which the Chart Builder module lets users sift through layers to discover root causes and take corrective actions. Analysis can be done either in parts per million, defects per million opportunities, and defects per billion opportunities. Standard attribute charts are included as well as pie and bar chart data views.

The software is built on a 32-bit operating system to take advantage of Windows 95 or 98 and maintains ODBC database connectivity that supports Oracle, Btrieve, and SQL server databases.
