Release 2.0 of Advantage statistical process control (SPC) software from Datasweep, Inc. (San Jose, CA) is billed as the only Web-centric solution to let companies who manufacture customized products leverage the Web for online visibility into production status and quality. That capability, coupled with its advanced SPC capabilities, provides a solution that allows greater flexibility and collaborative manufacturing information to streamline supply chain manufacturing.

The addition of SPC functionality provides a way to ensure product quality for end customers, leverage production information to manage by exception, and significantly reduce quality testing costs and administrative overhead. It also helps define SPC rules for out-of-control conditions as well as notification procedures to the operator, engineers, or managers to drive actions based on trends determined by the collected information.

Advantage 2.0 supports Windows 2000 and NT 4.0 operating systems, as well as SQL 7.0 and Oracle 8i databases. It can be integrated with leading ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Baan, PeopleSoft, and QAD, and has partnered with the leaders in Web-based supply chain solutions including Agile Software and webPLAN. The software also integrates with front-end e-commerce applications to provide real-time information on unit level production status, expected ship date, and change order feasibility.
