Data Collection and Analysis Software
The software can run on one PC or on any Local Area Network (LAN) MS Windows operating system. It accepts data input from sources that include keyboard, gages, multi-gage interfaces, uploads from Genesis Data Collectors, or from other applications using Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE). The software also supports GenNet, allowing real-time communications with Genesis Data Collectors on the shop floor. The software offers continuous process monitoring with SPC Monitor and SPC Reporter (optional) to provide managers with current status on demand for more responsive process control, and an optional Gage R+R module adds the ability to generate Type I and II Gage R+R Reports. In addition, it handles traditional as well as short run SPC techniques.
The software offers several SPC capabilities that include variable and attribute analysis, a range of SPC charts, graphs, and statistics including non-normal and correlation analysis, dynamic charting during data collection for real-time analysis, configurable trend analysis tests and thresholds, and the ability to exclude subgroups from statistical calculations. The software also features customizable password protection, allowing different users different levels of access; multiple control limits, enabling limits to be adjusted as the process changes while maintaining the original limits; and a multi-tasking environment that monitors multiple processes simultaneously. In addition, the software associates CAD drawings with individual part files for easy user referencing.
The software provides high definition color charts that show process status; color-coded symbols that highlight "in-control," "out-of-control," and "out-of-specification;" and context sensitive help screens. The software can be used in conjunction with SPC Manager software to provide control over all of a user's processes.
