Concentricity Gage

The Flexbar V-Block Concentricity Pro is designed to eliminate measuring errors that occur using traditionally designed concentricity gages. This unit can measure runout on cylindrical components below 0.00004 in. (1 micron) and can be used in cutting tool, punching, automotive, and aerospace industries.

The system combines a patent-pending rotary drive with its "zero-error" carbide V-block system, permitting concentricity gaging for comparators or as a free-standing unit with dial indicators or laser scanners. A patent-pending end stopper has a ball shape so only one point of the stopper touches the center of the component, and a patent-pending driving roller allows very slow rotation of the component, which is effective for checking fluted cutting tools such as endmills, step tools, and drills.

Two models are available. The No. 20460 Concentricity Pro base unit is a stand-alone system for comparators, contour projectors, and video measurement systems; it measures 130 x 104 x 125 mm (5 x 4 x 5 in.). Model No. 20462, the Concentricity Pro Deluxe Measurement System, is mounted on a base plate with precision dial test indicator and company's Flexarm positioner with fine adjustment. It measures 270 x 104 x 125 mm (11 x 4 x 5 in.).
