Billed as the only offline CMM programming and verification software with built-in rule-based program generation and 4D simulation for validation, Deneb/Inspect is designed to support both sheet metal and prismatic parts. The package comes with a set of parametrically driven programming statements (inspection rules) that automatically define "hit points" on product features.

The tool's rule-based approach is designed to simplify programming time and the level of expertise required. The rules define how individual features should be inspected by evaluating parameters, and they can be saved and reused throughout an organization.

Other features include a CMM library of popular machines with physical dimensions, travel limits for each axis, and motion planning for 4D program validation; a library of probe heads, styli, and tool changers; and a Visual File Browser that lets you recognize the probe, styli, or CMM.

In addition, the software offers manual or automatic feature sequencing, automatic determination of collision-free paths, and dynamic associative data exchange, which provides full associativity to CAD GD&T to handle part modifications.
