Suitable for shopfloor or the lab, this large-capacity modular circular form measurement system — called the FMS8270 — uses a natural granite base mounted on a fabricated steel frame and machine isolation leveling mounts. The device accommodates workpieces up to 1,000 lbs (balanced load). The overhead bridge and granite base size can be specified to handle workpieces to 36 in. diameter and 48 in. tall.Click here for the product's spec sheet
It has a 10.62 in. air bearing spindle with ±2.5µin. accuracy and single speed AC synchronous motor drive with encoder is connected to the computer interface module. The interface has an integral touchscreen control and uses the company's Proform metrology software that allows out-of-roundness, eccentricity, FIM, flatness, perpendicularity, and other measurements.
Options include choice of 15-, 18-, or 24-in. tilt and center table, lever-type gage head, harmonics analysis, movable gage stands, master test ball, motorized vertical air slides, extension arms, and custom fixturing.
