Suitable for the shopfloor, the FMS 8150 circular form measurement system is a large-capacity CMM that provides out-of-roundness, eccentricity, FIM, flatness, perpendicularity, and other measurements. The instrument is equipped with a heavy-duty base module and an industrially packaged computer interface module. The 6-in. air bearing spindle has ±1µin. accuracy and a two speed digital servo drive. Optional harmonic analysis and DR/DQ software allows in-depth workpiece analysis that is said to improve the manufacturing process and help predict part performance.
The device accommodates workpieces up to 16 in. deep x 17 in. high that weighs up to 200 lbs. The base can accept two gage post and arm assemblies as well as optional air bearing live center for quick setup and measurement of shaft type parts.
