CAD Error-detection Software

CAD/IQ Version 3.0 is a CAD companion tool that detects and reports problems associated with native CAD models and their fit (or lack of) for use in downstream processes such as finite element analysis, NC machining, data exchange, or rapid prototyping. The tool analyzes surface and solid geometry in CAD models.

This version of the software is embedded in Catia Version 4.2.1 and Version 4.2.2 and continues to support stand-alone CAD/IQ with Parasolid Version 11.

Other new features include simplified analysis parameters and improvements to the CAD/IQ Viewer (including model display and interaction as well as marker display and interaction), improved report generation capabilities, and diagnostic enhancements (including improved realism diagnostics that can directly identify problem conditions and allow the user to find severe problems while ignoring minor ones).

In addition, users can analyze the quality of their in-process CAD model and view the diagnostic results within the familiar user interface of their CAD system. Model quality checks can be limited so only a portion of the model is analyzed, which can be a timesaver when processing large models.
