Dimensional metrology manufacturer Brown & Sharpe, Inc. has launched e-metrology.com, a virtual metrology website designed to offer customers "the knowledge required to select the best tool for their application, along with an easy way to purchase the product, all in one visit."

To help customers learn more about the company's products and technologies, e-metrology.com lets them access virtual product demonstrations as well as buy the company's precision tools, new and used CMMs, inspection software, aftermarket products and services, and CMM probes and accessories.

In addition to the new e-commerce features, the site also contains a comprehensive online technical support area that's organized by product and application. Visitors can conduct two types of searches using frequently asked questions or keywords.

Of particular interest is the "Introduction to Coordinate Metrology" section, a mini-metrology education course. Complete product information, financial information, and a historical perspective of the company round out the site.
