Designed to measure large part profiles and sheet metal, the fully automated Matrix optical comparator combines automated edge detection and motion control with a large-format measuring stage [24 x 18 in. (X-Y)].
Specifications include linear accuracy of ±0.00015 in./in. and 0.001 in. overall, ±0.0001 in. repeatability, and 0.0001 in. (0.002 mm) resolution. Available video is high-resolution, solid state, black and white or color.
The motorized system comes with InSpec metrology software, a Pentium computer, and programmable motion control. The stage, which is available in sizes up to 48 x 24 in., rides on precision linear way bearings.
