Instron Corporation, a leading provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, announces its 5800 Series, ideally suited to provide testing for demanding applications involving metals, biomaterials, microelectronics, adhesives, various components and composites.

The 5800 material testing systems features the industry's most accurate force measurement specification, cutting edge control and data acquisition electronics, superior frame design and modular applications software packages. Instron's 5800 load frames are available in floor, table and single column configurations to cover the widest range of application needs. The innovative 5kHz data acquisition feature of the 5800 provides greater accuracy of test results in applications where loads change rapidly, such as peel/tear and high-speed tests. The 5800 Series allows user programming via optional LabView drivers, as well as a host of advanced control features that provide the flexibility required in a wide variety of demanding test applications. The 5800 is available with a wide range of optional applications software, including the Merlin suite for static and cyclic tests and the FastTrack suite for fracture toughness and simulation applications.

Complimenting the 5800 Series is a wide range of materials testing accessories including: non-contracting extensometry, high temperature furnaces, environmental chambers, load cells, grips and fixtures.
