There are many changes in SAE AMS2750F of which you should be aware. It is a complete rewrite. One of the significant changes was the increased resolution of temperature instruments. It is now required that instruments measure to 0.1° of resolution throughout their entire range. This limits the choices as many digital thermometers only register 0.1° up to 999.9°. Many heat-treat processes operate above this temperature and the increased resolution is necessary to properly set and adjust ovens.

The 945A Thermocouple Calibrator is the ideal tool for heat treaters. It is a field-portable instrument that meets the accuracy and resolution requirements of a Secondary Standard Test Instrument. It serves both as a thermocouple simulator and a reference thermometer for 14 types of thermocouple and mV. You may calibrate control and recording devices as well as perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT) with one instrument. Now you may service your entire operations with one 945A instead of maintaining multiple instruments. The 945A also has 10X the battery life of any portable calibrator and the simplest controls. You won’t be reaching for new batteries or the manual every time you use it.

In addition to the standard ISO17025 calibration report, the 945A also offers an optional AMS2750 calibration service with the required 6 calibration points per thermocouple. The customer specifies which thermocouples are calibrated.
