PROFILE 25 has been developed for high throughput applications. New high-speed video processing technology affords a five-fold increase in the speed of data acquisition over previous systems, and measurement points can be collected at a rate of up to 12,000/sec. The optical sensors of PROFILE 25 analyze the projected image of the workpiece and are not sensitive to material type, color or ambient light level. Workpiece movement is controlled by a maintenance free, high precision guide rail system that allows linear speeds of up to 150 mm/sec. A typical part program with 30 dimensions can be run in less than 15 seconds.
With a measuring capacity of 25 mm diameter and 200 mm length, 1" x 8", the PROFILE 25 is designed for small diameter parts, and is affordable by smaller manufacturers.
The mounting points for all optical and mechanical components are integrated into a single light alloy casting. This creates an extremely rigid structure that minimizes the effects of deformation due to inertial loads and temperature gradients. The high structural integrity of the system and attention to detail in the protection of the optical components result in a machine that is suitable for use in a production environment.
PROFILE 25 uses PRO-MEASURE operating software developed by Brown & Sharpe Ltd., which can run on the latest Windows 2000(TM) platform. PRO-MEASURE is designed specifically for the inspection of 2D and dynamic features of round, shaft-like workpieces and offers the benefits of very high speed programming via an image of the workpiece. The software also offers flexible report formatting including the integration of logos and bit mapped images.
