Introducing a new class of monitoring system designed for measuring critical temperatures within power transformers, reactors and other high-voltage equipment.
Quebec City (PRWEB) - FISO Technologies Inc. (FISO), a leading manufacturer of high-quality Fiber-Optic sensors and monitoring solutions, is proud to announce the launch of the EasyGrid BASE (EGD-BASE) – a new class of monitoring system designed for measuring critical temperatures within power transformers, reactors and other high-voltage equipment.
The EGD-BASE was designed to address the industry’s need for a compact and economical system to expand the attainable Power Grid applications and provide an easily integrated solution for transformer monitoring system (TMS) providers. The EGD-BASE adds new capabilities to the already highly successful EasyGrid product line, which includes the EasyGrid, EasyGrid LT and EasyTest.
This new class of monitor can measure up to 12 channels across a reading range of -80 °C to 300 °C while offering a Fiber-Optic communication capability for a secure data transfer. Well-suited for integration within a TMS, the accurate temperature data from this direct, on-line and real-time monitor adds value and helps enable condition-based maintenance of power transformers (thus maximizing their performance), along with bushing, dissolved gas and partial discharge data.
“With the launch of a fourth signal conditioner dedicated to the power transformer market, FISO clearly demonstrates its commitment to be the leader in hot-spot monitoring,” says Maxim Vachon-Savary, FISO’s Sales and Marketing Director. “We are particularly proud of the addition of the EasyGrid BASE, as it provides a tremendous advantage for our clients looking for an excellent performance at a lower price point. As a world leader in Fiber-Optic temperature and pressure point sensors, we take pride in providing the best solutions, not only for electric utilities and transformer manufacturers but also for asset health and condition monitoring system providers and integrators,” adds Mr. Vachon-Savary.
