  1. The Value Of Public-Private Partnerships In Water And Wastewater: Part 1
    8/10/2015

When it comes to water and wastewater management the word “resources” can mean many different things to many different people. Learn what public-private partnerships bring to the table in this first article of a four-part series.

  2. Private Water Players Vie For Larger Global Stakes
    8/4/2015

Access to water supplies globally is increasingly threatened by climate change and inadequate public investment in infrastructure. As a result, governments, municipal utilities, and key stakeholders have been forced to address the intensely debated role of private sector participation as a longer-term solution to local water stresses. Recent analysis by Bluefield Research indicates a dynamic landscape undergoing significant change.

  3. LAGOON MASTER™ Sludge Activating Aerator
    7/30/2015

Recreational ponds, wastewater lagoons, fish grow-out ponds and small, shallow lakes have always exhibited the problem of organic matter collecting on the bottom and eventually becoming polluted.  Wastewater lagoons are especially fraught with problems because their purpose is to clean the wastewater to the point that it can be released back into the environment.  Over the years many different things have been attempted to assist in degrading the organic matter that builds up in the “sludge” on the bottom of these water bodies.

  4. Sludge Sucker
    7/23/2015

The Sludge Sucker™ unit is a cable-driven sludge removal mechanism that provides cost-effective and efficient removal of lightweight sludges, such as alum or ferric hydroxide, or light iron and manganese precipitates from rectangular settling basins.

  5. Granular Activated Carbon Pressure Contactors
    7/23/2015

WesTech granular activated carbon (GAC) pressure contactors are an effective means for removal of various-molecular-weight contaminants from aqueous solutions. They are especially suited for the removal of dissolved organic compounds responsible for poor taste and odor in drinking water, as well as removal of a variety of contaminants that can be found in industrial and municipal waters.

  6. The Evolution Of Wastewater Reuse
    6/24/2015

The need to conserve our water resources has gone from idealistic to imperative in recent years. There are countless ways that utilities are looking to meet that pressure, but few solutions are making more headway than wastewater reuse.

  7. Innovative Solutions For Sludge Collection
    6/22/2015

David Barrasse, Regional Sales Manager East Coast with Brentwood Industries, spoke to Water Online Radio about the latest benefits of Brentwood’s Polychem system and the innovations that keep it on top.

  8. Desalination Innovation In The UAE
    4/8/2015

A delegation of prominent UAE government and private sector representatives, organized by Masdar, will be attending the 7th World Water Forum in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, South Korea, from April 12 to 17. The delegation will showcase the country’s adoption of innovative technologies as a means to ensure a water secure future and address the inter-connected challenges of the energy-water nexus with the global community.

  9. BioCon®: A Class A Solution
    3/17/2015

The Picnic Point Wastewater Treatment Facility was faced with reaching their plant processing capacity. The plant was sending its biosolids to be incinerated and part of this challenge was to find a way to manage the biosolids produced by this facility. Hauling and disposing of this sludge was difficult and becoming expensive. It was desirable to have a Class A biosolid to alleviate this concern and be more environmentally conscious.

  10. 'Hot' Water Treatment: Trending Technologies For Utilities
    1/7/2015

What are the key innovations that are actually being implemented, here and now, and creating a paradigm shift in water and wastewater treatment? Jess Brown, VP and director of R&D for Carollo Engineers, tackles the question.
