MS3 Three Probe System includes the probes and matching probe drivers to complete many of the tests recommended by the B5.54 standard. Parameters to be monitored using this system include axial and radial spindle error, vibration, and thermal stability (spindle growth).
The SEA Spindle Error Analyzer Software included with each system allows the user to quantitatively evaluate a spindle. Jointly developed by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Lion Precision, the system monitors the actual spindle motion from 0 to over 120,000 rpm and then presents the error analysis in a variety of plots.
