The new LaserQC® Version 2.2 software from Virtek Vision International, Inc.'s Industrial Imaging Division will be shown at the annual WESTEC Exposition, to be held in Los Angeles, Calif. March 26-29. It features dramatically reduced scan times; increased automation and ease of use; expanded CAD file compatibility; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); and, Material Properties definition capabilities. This will be the first time the software is displayed at a trade show after its release in February 2001.

The software powers Virtek's LaserQC flat-part inspection and reverse engineering system. In addition to LaserQC Version 2.2 and the LaserQC system, Virtek will also display the entry-level QuickInspec™ system that was introduced at FABTECH International. Also on show will be Virtek Geo™ (developed as part of a strategic alliance with JETCAM) — the optional CAD/CAM software supplied with QuickInspec.
