Unigraphics, Tecnomatix Partner to Provide Product Design-Quality Solutions
Unigraphics Solutions (UGS; St. Louis, MO) and Tecnomatix Technologies, Inc. (Herzliya, Israel) are teaming up to introduce joint software solutions that combine the technologies of the Unigraphics CAD/CAM/CAE application with the new eMPower Quality suite.
This partnership will bring users solutions that link product design to the total quality management strategies of manufacturers. It will leverage the Tecnomatix tolerance analysis and inspection expertise and the eMPower Quality software technology and pair it with Unigraphics' product modeling and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) capabilities.
"These new solutions will benefit manufacturers in many different industrial segments, especially the automotive, aerospace, and machinery industries. We are particularly pleased with several innovative elements of the new partnership arrangement designed to accelerate the delivery of key new products through a close cooperation of our development organizations," said Chuck Grindstaff, director of the Unigraphics line.
"Working together, UGS and Tecnomatix will cooperate to provide best-in-class capabilities," says Doug Fish, director of Strategic Alliances for Tecnomatix. "This partnership will allow us to pursue solutions that enable Unigraphics customers to extend their quality management function upstream to areas like product design and tooling and fixture design."
