Tecnomatix Technologies, Inc. (Herzliya, Israel) and Mitutoyo America Corporation (Aurora, IL) announced a partnership that will provide seamless integration between the Tecnomatix eMPower Quality solution (formerly known as Valisys) and Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machines.

The new eMPower Quality-Mitutoyo GeoMeasure machine integration will allow companies to implement a unified CAD-based master model strategy by integrating Mitutoyo-based inspection processes with eMPower manufacturing and quality processes. eMPower Quality uses master 3D CAD models to define geometric parts tolerances and to create inspection programs.

The integrated environment will provide the ability to create inspection programs offline and run them on Mitutoyo CMMs directly from the eMPower Quality software. Moreover, eMPower users will be able to receive data directly from all Mitutoyo CMMs and compare it with the CAD model, thus improving quality and accuracy as well as providing feedback of process capabilities to the design environment. The system is tightly integrated with three major CAD systems (Catia, Unigraphics, and Pro/Engineer) and supports CMMs driven by the Mitutoyo GeoMeasure 6000/4000 controllers.
